Proposal to open new WTC 7 investigation will not be on November ballot…

A proposed voter referendum backed by September 11th conspiracy theorists will not be on the ballot this November after all.

A group calling itself the “High Rise Safety Initiative” had been waging a legal battle to allow the ballot measure, which would have required the city to open a new investigation into the collapse of 7 World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

This week, a court found that the group collected enough valid signatures, but the measure itself was flawed because it provided no legitimate plan to fund the investigation.

The High Rise Safety Initiative has decided not to appeal but said it may attempt another ballot initiative in the future.
